F3 Open Source Formulas
Listed below are open source formulas for F2 (fish reduced) or F3 (fish-free feed). These formulas are free to use and can be tailored to fit your aquaculture needs. If you would like guidance and advice, you can contact us above.
Instructions:
- Begin by selecting the tab containing your species of interest. Displayed are the final results of various feed trials with varying amounts of FM and FO.
- To obtain the feed formula select the link in the Diet # column. Make sure to use the formula diet number referenced.
- To view the entire published study, select the link in the Reference column.
Formulas with the reference **Barrows** indicates formulation by the F3-Team CSO Rick Barrows (Background & Publications).
When manufacturing feeds, it is recommended that only poultry byproduct meals and fishmeals with a maximum ash content of 15% are used – less than 10% is preferable, and above 15% is not recommended.
